The Word Made Flesh

Obviously, books and tattoos are a few of my favorite things. When bound together, they bring a new perspective to the term “the printed word”. For Christmas I was gifted what is now one of my favorite picture books, The Word Made Flesh: Literary Tattoos from Bookworms Worldwide. My favorite authors, poets, and even movie lines have been made into tattoos, and they are beautiful. I’ve blogged about literary tattoos before, but this makes me want one even more.

The authors who compiled the photos have a great intro to the book.

I love you, tattoos

One day
 {2006, SF, Lyle Tuttle Tattoo Shop}

I was featured in Lady Croissant with two of my favorite tattooed ladies. Normally with tattoo features, I’m asked questions, but this time, I was given the opportunity to tell a story. I’m grateful for all the features I’ve had, but I think this one is one of my favorites. Read it here.

oh, ps- I have a giveaway coming up this week I’m really excited about! I can’t tell you what it is, yet, but I will give you a clue- it’s cussing awesome.

Have a great Sunday!

weekend

TGIF, right? My weekend consists of testing out some newish items (only new because I never found the time prior) I found from unboxing in my apartment.

My Weekend again

My Weekend

Let’s see how it goes! I’m also slowly getting back to all the comments. I had 278 comments on one post alone, so I’m hoping to visit and say hello to everyone.

I’m also waiting for this little guy to heal up

Scratches

I woke up to Gatsby running across the bed, landing on my arm, digging his claws, and jumping across again. This was taken recently, but I’m hoping my bunny tattoo doesn’t have a tattoo :(

I’m loving this cute video. Dance party? Yes.

Enjoy your weekend ♥

Old Friends, New Tattoos

I have a good friend, Jason Hudson from Tried and True Tattoo, I’ve known for almost 15 years. As much as I love Sid, I love Jason’s work. He’s finally in town for a guest spot and I recommend if you want to go get tattooed this week, go see him at So.Cal. Tattoo. He’s also on Facebook, if you want to contact him directly. I say go get yourself tattooed! Below are my favorites from him! I’m hoping to get to the shop this week. Hope to see you there!
