i love you, old friend

Scott and I got new bikes for Christmas. I used to ride everyday, and then I just stopped. I haven’t blogged bikes or ridden in a couple years. This isn’t a resolution, it’ll be like visiting an old friend.

I Love You, Marimekko
By the time I finished saving pieces I love from the Fall Collection, I realized I downloaded almost every single new item available. Here are the favorites below.

I Love You, Archer Avenue
I’ve mentioned Archer Avenue before here, and The AV Club has detailed video on the historic home (well, historic to me). I’m already collecting decor for my new house (!!) I would love to live an inspired Royal Tenenbaums home- cozy, cheeky, and striking. Enjoy!
ps- I finally spent the slow weekend replying to comments as far back as January (I know, shameful). Thanks for taking the time to say hello; I’m loving the new blogs I’m discovering.
Also, there’s a fun giveaway Liz from srslyliz is giving away one of my prints; go check it out here.

I love you, Japan

via fatheed on flickr
Thanks everyone for the emails and texts this morning. I’m not in Japan yet. Our trip seems so minuscule compared to the events in Japan. We’d rather lose a few grand compared to our safety. I’m thankful to be home and safe. We were planning on staying in Tokyo, far from the devastation of Sendai, but not far from whatever Mother Nature has planned. Sending hope and prayers to Japan.
One of the reasons I’ve loved Japan is how strong of a culture they are. I know you don’t need a history lesson, but after the devastation of WWII, they pulled themselves up and succeeded to be one of the most richest countries in the world at one time. That’s an amazing reminder of the beauty that is Japan.
I love you, tattoos

I was featured in Lady Croissant with two of my favorite tattooed ladies. Normally with tattoo features, I’m asked questions, but this time, I was given the opportunity to tell a story. I’m grateful for all the features I’ve had, but I think this one is one of my favorites. Read it here.
oh, ps- I have a giveaway coming up this week I’m really excited about! I can’t tell you what it is, yet, but I will give you a clue- it’s cussing awesome.
Have a great Sunday!
