Quiet Nights Online Journal Class
I’m not one for scrapbooking. I always thought of scrapbooking as a big mess of journal pens, patterned papers, and lots and lots of clutter to fit into a notebook. I loved it when I was younger but as I’ve gotten older my inspiration takes a lot more than pretty pictures and die cut letters.
Vivianna from Polka Dot Robot was one of the only couple of women who had more elegant, inspiring and cleaner scrapbooks I’ve seen. Just like I once thought embroidery was for old church ladies, I have changed my mind about scrapbooking with her. It’s no longer cute-overload, and I won’t be limited to make it look, well, you know, junky. I’m super excited because there is an online class on scrapbooking and who other than Viv to teach the class? You can read the details here and join with me!
Here are some examples of her beautiful work. All photos from Polka Dot Robot used with permission.

The class is only $20 to join and the class has exclusive giveaways to help you in your journaling. f you love keeping a journal, but want something more creative, but don’t want it to look like Michael’s just threw up in your notebook, and this class is perfect!
On a side note- has anyone been getting spammy anonymous comments lately? It seems I’ve been deleting a few every hour. I’m going to start approving comments for this reason.

this is a great post. i have 10 years worth of scrapbooks (pre-blog!) & love to see others'
well i sure wouldn't want it to look like Michael's just threw up in my notebook!!!! H AHAHHAHA!!!!!i am getting lots of stupid spam, too. morons. how effective do they think they are?!?!?
Her work is beautiful! I am so inspired!
ugh, yes…i've been getting lots of spam, lately too.
awesome!
Hey! I've given you an award on my blog

oh man, i might totally have to join. i love stuff like this!
i know what you mean about the whole scrapbooking thing. i cringe when people compare my lovingly handmade & handbound books to something they could buy at michaels (or walmart – someone actually said that once. nice.)oh and i haven't had problems with comments. usually because i get one comment a day if i'm lucky. haha.
I've been hunting for a long time for this! Thank God I found your posting on Google.Thanks.BETTE click
So beautiful! I wish I could join! And yes- I get SO many spammy comments.. SO annoying.
I like these! They are more like art collages than cheesy stamps and boring cut-outs. This is my kind of scrapbooking.
How gorgeous! I have a paper problem – keep buying pretty paper but can never figure out where to use it. But I've never really been all that into scrapbooking. Her journal looks beautiful, though! iamemmamusic.blogspot.com
I've always wanted to start scrapbooking. She makes it look like so much fun and its so pretty not gouty. Thanks for sharing, enjoy the class. If I had extra $ I would join too.inbugsdrawers.blogspot.com
Love it!
oh, amazing!
this looks like so much fun!! To save my inspiration and thoughts I've been scribbling messily in little notebooks and taping things to my walls, which I think might be annoying my roommate haha. This seems like a much neater and preservable alternative!
woah. this is what my sketchbook looks like.
i used to scrapbook and completely stopped about 2 years ago. sold a bunch of my stuff, gave it away. then i missed it. i can't help it. i love paper. so now i'm collecting things again, but not really scrapbooking.and i started moderating comments a while ago. nothing wrong with that
WOW!! Awesome!!! and looks like a ton of fun!!! UGH those anon spams are ridiculous!!! BOOOO!!!
oh yes, lots of spammy comments! this class sounds awesome, i'm going to look into it.
What a graet thing to do – I love her work here – I always thought my blog was a kind of diary and journal about what I'm up to and doing – but a paper version – very neat!Spammy comments – I'm having a bit of a lull at the moment thank goodness – I went onto approval for comments too as a resut of a rash of them….
these are super inspiring. i've been thinking of scanning some images from my past journals, now i think i just might.xo,claire
Hooray! I'm actually not sure if I can do the class because my classes this semester are killing me!
But it would be such a fun way to take a break from the madness… maybe even a little therapy?…
these aren't scrapbooks, they're like dreambooks. Simply beautiful.-indigo
Michael's kinda threw up in my house when I was wedding planning!I love the combo of pictures, textures, and words. Inspired (and some stuff will be from Michael's)
So pretty and inspiring. I've collected little bits of this and that for years with the intention of making scrapbooks, but have never put the plan into action. Time to give it some more serious thought? Yep!
She is so talented! I love her scrapbooking style.
Oh boy….this could get me in some trouble…but I think it's well worth the trouble!
"…but don't want it to look like Michael's just threw up in your notebook…" <– this made me loli feel the same way about scrap booking…
haha i'm going to be honest i would love it if michaels threw up all over me. i love that store! i love to scrapbook, but it's harder than it looks to get something that looks "clean". a lot of times you feel like you have to fill every nook and cranny of the page and it ends up being cluttered. i like these simpler options.
her work is amazing!
This is exactly what I've been wanting to do lately. I just want to make something with my hands. These are so good.
I love the look of these journal pages, scrapbooking with style & sophistication!
I have two scrapbooks for my freshman and sophomore years of high school, but I lost steam and have yet to finish cataloging the rest of it! It's such a fun activity but can get expensive quickly!
that's a really neat idea…i need to get a little more creative and off of the computer!
ok so i may sign up for this too.. looks like so much fun.. and would definitely help to spark some creativity!
Once upon a time, I lived in Utah Valley, which is like Vatican City for scrapbookers. I had this nutty roommate who in addition to being nutty was suuuuuuper into scrapbooks. "Do you scrap?" Oh boy. She went on a THREE DAY SCRAPBOOKING RETREAT. Three whole days. For "scrapping."To each their own.(I think this comment turned into therapy on my part. Sorry.)I feel I should mention that these scrapbook sample pages are awesome and not at all like the scrapbooks that keep ProvoCraft in business. I've actually been working on something similar, something that I will never, ever show anybody.Whew.The end.
These are gorgeous without being too cutesy at all… definitely appealing!
I would love a fun class like this! I'll have to look into it.
This sounds like so much fun. I need to start a scrapbook. Off to check out the class…
I recently came across your blog and have been reading along. I thought I would leave my first comment. I dont know what to say except that I have enjoyed reading. Nice blog. I will keep visiting this blog very often.Montanahttp://pianotutorial.net
