Out of Print Clothing

There's a lot of debate about the printed word and electronic books. It was a little difficult when digital books came out (eventually I did break down and I love my Kindle). As much as I love actual books, I'm a bigger advocate for reading. Who cares if it's in a digital form, or even a t-shirt form? As long as it helps literacy and helps others read in any convenient way, I'm all for it.

Out of Print clothing is a t-shirt company that donates one book to Books For Africa for every t-shirt purchase.

The shirts are available for pre-order, but how cool would these be for a late Valentine's day gift for the reader in your life? Go buy them here!

I just stumbled upon this website yesterday! Those tshirts are really sexy. I sort of wish the print was smaller. I don't like massive designs on girls...gets deformed with the boobs and all haha

oh they're amazing. Wish they were available over in Britain!

That is awesome. :-) Definitely getting one for my husband. And when they start selling the women's t-shirts I'll be dropping him some no-so-subtle hints to get me one too. ;-)

What a great idea. I agree, it's the reading that's important, not the medium. I can't ever see the printed book becoming obsolete. People are too attached to them and the technology is more of a complement than replacement. At least I hope that's how it goes!

Those are gorgeous! I am re-reading "Of Mice and Men" right now with my class - it's spell-binding.

Oh, and I nominated you for a GLOB! I know that sounds gross, but it's actually a Gorgeous Ladies of Blogging Award!

I'm inclined to agree with you on the whole digital book issue - as long as people are reading, does it really matter how? I would love to have a kindle. It would be ideal on trips!) As to the shirts - so fantastic! I love them! And I love that they donate to a good cause - so amazing!

I love the Moby Dick one! It's quite an exciting graphic for a booklover...

One nice thing I've found in digital books is that I can access several out-of-print titles! So though I read pages 99.89% of the time, I've loved some of the rarer books I can get now on my Kindle-for-iPhone.

Plus, it got me through three hours at the DMV.

I love the Catcher in the rye, moby dick, and of mice and men shirts. I haven't read the latter two, though, I suppose I should. And perhaps I should buy one for my husband.

My husband is going to be so excited about these shirts. I can't wait until the women's shirts area available. And how wonderful that the company donates books to Africa. Cool product and socially aware, yay!

A great cause and great designs. I've always been fond of old paperback covers. Look at those fonts! I'm kind of on a t shirt ban but these are nearly irresistable.
