Blog-sitter: Carly from A Girl And Her Blog

Hello everyone!

I’m Carly and I’m agirlandherblog.

Today, Diana was nice enough to let me be a guest on our.city.lights! I’m so thrilled!

I kinda wanted to keep to a Christmas-y theme because we’re getting so close to the big day and I’m bursting with excitement.

As the holiday grows near every year we start getting into our holiday traditions. Decorating our homes, listening to holiday music - spreading some holiday cheer any which way we know how. We spend some much needed time with our family and friends; reflect on the past years highs and lows as we look forward to a new year. One of my favourite things to do come Christmas Eve is stocking stuffing. It’s always so much fun to cram them full of treats, sweets and essentials. At my house every stocking comes packed with oranges and toothbrushes! The possibilities are endless with stocking stuffing, you can be very simple or really crazy with your ideas but it’s always great to be creative!

This year I’ve been swooning over some really adorable Christmas Stockings from some really sweet Etsy sellers. I wish I didn’t have a stocking already because some of these are adorable!

Those Cheryland stockings are adorable! Just seeing my sister for an extended period is my favorite Christmas tradition.

hehe I have to get a red monster stocking!!

My favourite tradition was always my Grandparents staying over night and going to sit with them in the morning :)

These are so cute! Ive been holding off buying stockings because I don't have a fireplace in the home I'm in now :( A fireplace is a huge requirement for the next home we buy!

love the little owl stockings! I was planning on making my husband and I stockings for Christmas last year, but then found the cutest sweater knit ones on sale that I couldn't pass up :)

Is it weird I'm commenting on my own blog? Blame it on the medication.

Anywho, you did a great job on this. I really want those silhouette stockings, and I'm a sucker for anything cat lady-ish.

What a cute post! It's funny because my homemade stocking that my mother made for us many moons ago looks just like the joys of Christmas ones. Lots of sparkle, lots of 3D fabric and lots of joy. Too cute. Thanks for sharing!

Cute post, Carly! The cheryland stockings are adorable, especially the little squirrel! As for traditions, I (still) love the excitement of Christmas Eve. We always enjoy a nice dinner and each others company. Even though my siblings and I are all older now, our mom still picks out one present for each of us to open after dinner.

Why do I always want more stockings? Maybe I should start a collection! These are fabulous!
