The theme of the day: Vintage suitcases. Lots of them! I love the sight of old suitcases, and dreaming about the faraway places and adventures that it has been through. Their travelling days may be well behind them, but these old suitcases can still serve as the most charming things to look at - as well as being very functional in different ways.
As you can see:
Stacked, and used as a bedside table
A spacious storage space for crafts, books, cameras... pretty much anything you can fit in there!
Given a fresh makeover, using old maps
Given an even bigger makeover, and made into furniture (so clever!)

I wish I was crafty enough to make furniture out of one! That's so awesome. As it is, I've just made a couple of tables out of stacked suitcases, and I store things in some of my others. I love the book idea!

Wonderful post, Anna! My mother collects old suitcases herself and has a bunch stacked up like coffee tables (like your first suggestion!). Great pics- I like the book one best!
