Few words are spoken when you are close to someone- on a first date, there is always that awkward tension because the silence is filled with words. Meeting a friend, asking questions, discussing life, there is flowing conversation. However, when you become comfortable with someone, just spending time with them is enough. Two people can be in the same room, enjoying each other's company, observing each other lives, without saying much. Even though we are 6,768 miles apart, Ana and I somehow find an unspoken connection. I know how she is doing, what she has been up to, and the tone of her week.
6,768 Miles Apart is
Ana B. from On Dressing Up, and myself. Ana's blog is filled with fashion, details of seams and beauty, a new career woman with a robust for life, my blog is filled with the quietness of new married-hoom, taking a break from a career, and details of paws and book spines. We cannot be anymore opposite in our lives, but yet with few words, our lives connect.

Beautiful words, Diana! You're an inspiration. The combo of my sunglasses with your pic -- from far away that carpark/room looks like it's on fire.
And what a gorgeous row of puffy Kool Aid coloured dresses. They're fit for a Disney princess, I think.
Yashica camera too! Rob bought one of those Yashica Electros and was able to sell it off for a handsome sum. Some of the models hold their value really well apparently.
It might sound repetitive but it does keep getting better and better. Each post surprises me, arouses my curiosity, makes me look closer and amazes me. You two are gold.
You couldn't have word it better.
What's cooking in that pot? And I do love Ana's last photo, shimmy of stars!
i love getting a sneak peek into both of your lives every once and again. this colors in this particular set are very striking.
I could look at these forvever! So much detail and interest! How do you guys do it - I'm thinkg there might be a bit of other worldly telepathy going on perhaps! Hope you're having a great week!

it is so funny how connections are made. some are weak; some are strong. some last; some don't. i am glad you two are so connected and that i get to latch on in a tiny way. :)
How very beautiful of the two of you!! :) This is such a nice post! :)
I think I liked the introduction as much as I liked the pictures this week; it's nice to be able to be quiet with other people.
That was lovely. The pictures are so touching...and seem to connect without intending to do so. They complement one another so well.
That was beautiful Diana!
You both know how much I love this...it really has become something to look forward to!
Always so lovely. I'm always looking forward to the food pictures. hahaha
Such an amazing project. It is so inspirational the way so many bloggers have true connections!
Beautiful words and pictures. I simply love this... ;-)

Great pictures!
Lovely set! So interesting to see the different seasons on each side.
Turned out great, yet again!
Diana and Ana, the connection the two of your share through your photos is truly remarkable. This set must be the visual definition of beautiful -- I love it. The colors, shadows, and details are all so striking. The photos fuse together so well as if they were puzzle pieces made to fit one another.
I positively love those floral pictures that are paired together, and that last set with the camera is so pretty -- the lighting in both is quite amazing!
oooh, i just love the snaps of life you two show us. i love the feminine, summery and sweet side of ana. My fave of hers is the bottle at the end.
I love the way she uses light!
Diana retro queen. you like ur darker lights, like yellows and oranges. all your stuff informs eachother, from the record player to the REdbuggy and camera. my fave is your dresses, nice composition and colours
